What is a Deepfake?
A deepfake is a type of artificial intelligence that uses machine learning algorithms to generate or manipulate images, audio, or video. These text-to-speech AI tools are available for anyone to use, and only require an audio clip of the individual they are impersonating, which can be found from video clips on company websites or social media channels. Many individuals may use it as a harmless way to make a funny video, but others use it to elevate their scams.
